Quincey Johnson McClure

Quincey Johnson McClure is the founder of The Cotillion Lady and Director of Little Rock Junior Cotillion, where she is dedicated to equipping young people with the confidence, character, and social skills to thrive in every stage of life. A proud Central Arkansas native, Quincey has devoted her career to teaching that good manners are far more than memorized rules—they are the outward expression of kindness, respect, integrity, and consideration for others.

Her passion for developing young people began long before Cotillion. As a competitive swimmer, Quincey learned the value of discipline, perseverance, accountability, and grace under pressure. Those lessons naturally led her into coaching, where she discovered that some of the most meaningful victories occur outside the pool. Helping students develop confidence, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills became the foundation of her life's work.

Today, Quincey is recognized for her modern approach to etiquette education. She believes etiquette should prepare students not only for formal occasions but also for everyday life—introducing themselves with confidence, engaging in thoughtful conversation, demonstrating respect for others, navigating technology responsibly, practicing gratitude, and setting healthy boundaries with grace. Her philosophy emphasizes that true confidence comes from knowing how to make others feel comfortable, valued, and respected.

A hallmark of The Cotillion Lady experience is combining timeless etiquette instruction with practical application. Through ballroom dance education, formal dining, receiving lines, introductions, and real-world social scenarios, students gain confidence that extends far beyond the ballroom. Quincey believes these experiences help young people develop poise, adaptability, and the self-assurance to navigate unfamiliar situations with ease.

Quincey is equally passionate about partnering with parents, recognizing that character is best cultivated when families and educators work together. Her programs are designed to reinforce values that last a lifetime, preparing students to become thoughtful leaders, gracious hosts, respectful guests, and confident members of their communities.

Outside of her work, Quincey enjoys spending time with her family, especially on DeGray Lake, where she serves on the board of Keeping DeGray Lake Beautiful, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing one of Arkansas's treasured natural resources. She also supports the Arkansas Marlins Swim Club Foundation, reflecting her continued commitment to youth development and community service.

Quincey and her husband, Adam, welcomed their son, ABM, in 2025. Motherhood has deepened her appreciation for the importance of intentional parenting, patience, and leading by example—principles that continue to shape both her family life and her work with students.

Through The Cotillion Lady, Quincey is building more than a cotillion program. She is cultivating a generation of confident, courteous, and capable young people who understand that character never goes out of style and that kindness, respect, and consideration remain among life's most valuable skills.
